Art, Work

10th day

I spent about 7 hours today watching human anatomy lectures and drawing. My right hand fingers are actually a bit sore and stiff from holding the pencil and pen all day. Went through lectures that covered the proportions of the human body, the skeleton and some basic shading techniques.

After spending so much time drawing in one sitting, I could notice a lot of improvements in my control of the pencil and pen in the later parts of the day. This cloud of doubt and insecurities that you can get lost in when you don’t touch this stuff for a while, can be a little bit of work to get passed. But when the rust begins to fall off, you just feel this rush of excitement that is hugely encouraging.

Another 8 hours of lectures to cover and another bulk of papers to fill with graphite and human like shapes tomorrow.
