I took the Saturday off for some deserved relaxing and recharging, and there was only work done during the afternoon of Sunday this weekend. I managed to put in a full day of work for this day though. I have only two items on my previous checklist to wrap up, the rest of them… Continue reading 81st – 83rd day

79th and 80th day
It was very optimistic of me to think that I could finish all those items in one day. I managed to finish the bulk of them, but to be honest, most items took about 3 times longer to model then what I initially anticipated. So a more accurate estimate would add another day or two… Continue reading 79th and 80th day
77th and 78th day
Been playing with the modular pieces that I use to build my levels and modeling new ones. Some industrial pipes, containers, crates, boxes and various floor items. The items that are left to model are(with time estimates): *Modular pipe groups, and cable groups. (2 hours) *Light items. Ceiling and floor lights. ( 30 mins) *Debris(… Continue reading 77th and 78th day
Building Levels
All those pieces I have been modeling are finally being used for building levels in Unity. All alignment issues have been fixed and now it is just duplicating and snapping things in place. A very satisfying feeling indeed. Progress is constant.
75th and 76th day
Ran into some annoying alignment issues so I went in and corrected those. Basically making sure that those cool steel frames align perfectly with my walls and floors, they need to be be modeled according to an accurate frame. You can see the underlying frame there in red that everything will get snapped to.… Continue reading 75th and 76th day

Adding more props to my level and more modeling. I wanted to see how my little jar of brain would look in engine and it looks just fine. It is missing its texture, but it looks very nice. I am actually adding some more detail to this prop. Some wires attached to the brain… Continue reading 74th day

Adding more content for my puzzles and levels. Trying to make it so that all level geometry that is in between the camera and the main player character become transparent just like you see in Diablo and such games. It is a pain in the ass when you realize you make minor mistakes with… Continue reading 73rd day
Competent competitives
Motivation for learning or mastering new things can be found in either the subject you are studying or competing with others. If you are competing with others, be sure to set your aim high. Find the most gifted individuals in that particular field that exist in this world and set out to learn as much… Continue reading Competent competitives

Creating the building blocks for my levels is going just fine. They look fairly good when loaded in engine, but I still need to fix up some of the UV maps. Making detailed textures for the pieces is not going to happen. The stylized look of them and the cartoon shading works just splendidly. Any… Continue reading 71st and 72nd day
69th and 70th day
For the last 70 days, there have been two days where I have not been able to put any work in. But, I am still working on creating content for my levels and puzzles. One of the issues I was running into with Maya LT, was skinning of rigid items(using smooth bind because rigid bind… Continue reading 69th and 70th day
